Sky [installation*2021]
Stars hold religious and mythological significance across cultures, often used to interpret divine activities, destiny, and individual existence. Constellations historically and presently serve to make sense of these concepts. In this context, they symbolize the cyclical fate of individuals and society. My installations, composed of jar lids affixed with symbols related to womanhood, expose the mental clutter of everyday objects associated with femininity. These lids, concealing and unveiling the unseen, are mutable over time. Through a fictional star cluster, the artist reimagines the map of female identity, inviting a reconsideration of societal norms.
