Ayşegül Yapar is a visual artist and curator. She holds a BA and MA in Visual Arts and Visual Communication Design from Sabancı University and an MA in Arts, Museology, and Curatorship from the University of Bologna.
Her practice investigates how humor, mobility, and spatial politics operate together, moving between the domestic sphere and public space. Grounded in the socio-cultural conditions of Türkiye, her work examines how power functions through gendered labor, and institutional structures.
She is the co-founder of metr.cube, an artist-led initiative that uses mobility both as a medium and a method. She has also worked at Slavs and Tatars, a Berlin-based collective that investigates the political and cultural intersections of Eastern Europe and Central Asia
